Key Identification Features
- Cap 2-8 cm, cream to pinkish-brown with concentric brown scales. Gills white, free. Fragile ring on stem. Grows in meadows, grassy areas, woodland edges. Contains amatoxins — same lethal profile as Death Cap.
Symptoms & Toxicity
Amatoxin syndrome: delayed GI onset (6-24 hr), apparent recovery, then hepatorenal failure. Treat identically to Amanita phalloides ingestion.
